The beautiful Hong islands. This is the bay where the long tail boats are the anchored, while the snorkeling beach lies on the other side. You have to trek through tsunami ruins of the forest to the other side. Those torn boats were sad sights. But we enjoyed the snorkeling and the barbecue lunch organized by our boat guide. .

Some clouds bring to mind memories of rainy days past. On my last day in Krabi, the pretty Nopparat Thara beach with its casuarina trees, suddenly became bereft of its waters in low tide.
Just the same morning it was glowing in blue shimmers. .

This is the same beach where I took my previous Light bulb pic. Look how different it looks in just a span of a few hours. It was my last day in Krabi, and the gloomy clouds added to my sadness. .

Strange things find you. I was walking in the sand when I got this little bulb that reminded of Edison. I tried to capture a distant island through the bulb, and the blue sky complemented the frame.

Noppharat Thara Beach was a nice beach for an early morning break, from where we boarded the ferry to Marine islands. This is mostly visited by the locals who don't like to sun bathe like tourists, and the Casuarina trees give them ample shade to picnic and play in the sand.

This was a lucky day for me. The cute Thai ladies there greeted me in their characteristic sing song Thai , "Suwaaathiiii khaaaaa..... today is 666th anniversary of Ayuthhayaaaaas, FREE for tourists"..

Now let me tell you I am a proud INDIAN and I'm engineered to jump at the word FREE. In happiness I asked these girls to pose with me, and they were giggling at my antics. (I have to respect them, because in India, girls would never be brave enough to pose with a stranger traveller.)
.
It was a legitimate reason to be happy because I saved a lot of money that day, based on the sheer luck that I chose that auspicious day to travel to Ayuthhaya. I had no clue that it was an anniversary. I ate a lot that day with the money that I saved.😄
.
Ayuthhaya is the ancient capital kingdom of Thailand, most famous for the ruins left after the Burmese invaders burned the capital.

My favorite reading spot in the evenings with a classic. Honestly I found reading Virginia Woolf quite a difficult yet enriching experience.
The writing style is lyrical and difficult to follow for literature noobs like me.

On a Saturday as I think back to my time in Chiang Mai, Thailand, I surprisingly miss my host Chaibutr that we met through @airbnb the most. She was the kindest lady that I met on my travel, she told us where to go and how to travel better, but most of all I miss her delicious breakfast.
She would bake fresh cinnamon bread every morning, and urge me to make tea for myself. It was through her outdoor kitchen that I got introduced to the most wonderful thing about the Thais, their tea.
We have heard of green tea, but iced milk green Thai tea is out of the world. It has a jasmine and orange undertone that's so refreshing in the heat and it resembles the charm of Chiang Mai the most.

I also noticed that Gabriel Garcia Marquez is the most found author in the Airbnb hosts in Thailand. While I found this rustic copy in Chaibutr's place, I found copies of One hundred days of Solitude in my Krabi host's place too.

Do you recall the love your hosts show you, long after you have returned home? Does the tea call you back?

I had never seen these kind of lotuses before in India. But in Thailand they were pretty commonly available in all Buddhist Wats(Temples). Thais believe in earning merits which is a kind of system to earn points to go to heaven by doing good deeds like feeding monks and offering lotuses to Buddha. Hence these exquisite lotuses are folded in very artistic ways and presented to the idol along with donation to the temple.
Interesting fact isn't it.
Let's just take a moment and just appreciate the beauty of these perfect green lotuses.

Seems this multiple tiers are reserved for government approved monuments only. When I was wandering in Wat Arun I didn't know that.

The prettiest frame that @raw___hit captured of me in Wat Pho. The jigsaw like inner doors and lanes in the temple complex were so serene to wander around in the evening, after the really hot sultry day in Bangkok.
I would suggest to go to Wat Pho in the evening after the trip to the nearby Grand Palace which closes sharp at 3pm.

I just can't forget the beauty of these doors.
